Of Masks and Men

Posted by on

If you’re reading this blog, you’re no doubt aware of the need to establish a clear skin routine to manage breakouts and blemishes including masks. A key element of a good clear skin routine is the use of a face mask, however, this is something that men may find more difficult to make a part of their routine than other things such as taking SkinB5 Acne Control Caplets and taking care to drink enough water. Below I’ve detailed why, and how to make a face mask a simple part of your routine.

There’s nothing emasculating about a face mask

I’m going to address the first concern most men would have – that they think men don’t use face masks. Some men will worry that it is feminine, or could appear vain, to apply a face mask. Hot tip – it’s not. You smear mud on your face and wait for it to dry. You were all about it when you were 6, I wouldn’t sweat it now.

A quality face mask can help with problem spots

Do you wonder how a face mask can help? Quality masks are made from effective natural ingredients that cleanse your skin without irritating it. I’m a big fan of SkinB5’s award winning 5 Minute Purifying Mask and it’s not just because I write for them! I was a regular at an organic skin care retailer who made beautiful fresh face masks, however I prefer SkinB5’s as it can be stored a room temperature and includes remarkable ingredients such as French Green Clay, Avocado Oil, Australian Great Barrier Reef sea minerals, bergamot oil, aloe Vera, peppermint and of course Vitamin B5. These ingredients cleanse acne prone skin and absorb and extract oils and impurities. I always feel great after a busy week between work and the gym.

Chuck a mask on before your shower

To make it a part of your routine, do it once a week before your shower. Pick a quiet night – possibly a Monday or Tuesday. Before you have a shower, cleanse your face and any other problem areas – such as neck or back – with the SkinB5 mousse. This clears out any dead skin and built up oil from the day. Then smooth the SkinB5 Purifying Mask into your skin. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, I usually use this time to do some manscaping or nail clipping – whatever you’ve been putting off. Then when the mask has been dry for a few minutes, jump in the shower. Done!

Problem spot? Pop your mask on

You can use the Skin B5 Purifying Mask for spot treatment during the week. IF you have a problem spot or breakout, simply apply a small amount to that specific area. How are you feeling about face masks now? Give them a go, if you haven’t already, and thank me for the results a few weeks from now. You’re welcome! Nick bio photo Who is Nick Bell?
