im Kardashian inspires with her style and beauty, but her makeup artist shares he gets his own inspo from the royally radiant Meghan Markle!
Meghan Markle is inspiring the world, and Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist says he’s no exception. Talking with E! News during a New York Fashion Week event, Kim’s go-to beauty guru Mario Dedivanovic shared what he admires about Markle.
Meghan Markle “glows”
Royal fashion watchers have seen Meghan evolve in the weeks leading up to and after her marriage to Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex has become known for creating her own look, ranging from that famous messy bun to sophisticated boatnecks. But for Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario, it’s all about the way that Markle uses cosmetics.
“I’m loving Meghan Markle’s makeup,” confessed Dedivanovic. “In photos, sometimes it looks like she’s glowing from within — from her soul — and I feel like that kind of makeup is beautiful because you can’t pinpoint it quite, but that’s what it is. As a makeup artist, I know that it’s this glow on the skin.”
Hop on the next beauty trend now with these royal makeup tips
Kim’s makeup artist also offered up a prediction. Dedivanovic forecasts glowing skin like Markle’s as the new beauty trend of the future.
Currently, makeup artists are highlighting only select areas, while covering all of the skin with matte cosmetics products. The future trend, however, according to Kardashian’s beauty guru, will see that glow all over the skin.
You can look like Meghan by minimizing your use of concealer, powder, and foundation. Be sure to blend those products “really well,” advises Mario. He’s a fan of Laura Mercier’s Flawless Fusion Ultra Longer Concealer, which “doesn’t get into fine lines.”
To have glowing skin like Markle, apply a product such as Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow all over your face rather than using it as a highlight, recommends Kardashian’s makeup artist.
“It’s not an extreme highlight,” he added. “It’s so super subtle and finely milled that you can literally brush it on to your entire face.”
And for the ultimate royal look, take time to use a spray. Dedivanovic names the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist among his “all time favorites.” A spray is appropriate following “any kind of powder that I apply on the face,” added Kardashian’s cosmetics guru.
